The best of both worlds

For total freedom to explore this planet, what more could anyone want other than a bus and a boat? Up until last week, we have been enjoying the benefits of both for the last few months.

Boat and Motorhome - the two best toys

After tripping around in Delvy throughout the NSW autumn , it was time to head back to north Queensland and get out on the water. We had plenty of time for a leisurely cruise before the start of Airlie Beach Race Week, so we spent a whole week exploring the northern Whitsunday Coastline from Bowen.

We were happy with our solid midfield performance in Cruising Division 3, and to celebrate we took some friends diving on the Great Barrier Reef before returning the yacht to a mooring in Bowen Boat Harbour .

During our sailing adventures, Delvy was safely parked at friend's places patiently awaiting our return. From empty blocks to large rural properties, Delvy is made welcome and for that we are grateful.

It was now time to get back to land based activities, but it wasn't long before we were given the opportunity to sail the blue sea once more - the new owners of Lady Katherine wanted her delivered to Brisbane. Well, we ended up going all the way to the Gold Coast, but we didn't mind! What a sailing adventure it was, and one we are keen to do again with Australian Yacht Deliveries.

Meanwhile, we will continue with our land based Delvy adventures and all that she can offer, such as paragliding and e-mountain biking. It's an action-packed, fun-filled life, but someone has to do it. :)
