Delvy update

It’s been awhile since Delvy last had an adventure. Since the trip to Magnetic Island she now has a fabulous new parking spot, thanks to the generosity of a friend.

Under the mango tree

We sold the Hill Fort back in May, so we have been dividing time between our city apartment, aka Lady Katherine; and our Prairie Schooner, Delvy. We do truly have the best of both worlds.

Keeping Delvy company in her new residence under the mango tree is a pair of Bush Stone-curlews, who hang out during the day trying to look as inconspicuous as possible. Wallabies come and visit during the night, and a token Brush Turkey is always picking and scratching its way around the garden.

After taking the brunt of Cyclone Debbie last March, Delvy is getting a much needed  makeover – some bodywork repairs and a fresh coat of paint – ready for new adventures in the new year. A summer southern road trip is planned to escape the oppressive tropical heat, so stay tuned.

The new look Delvy.
